Sara Fajardo is a senior at Rutgers University-New Brunswick majoring in History and minoring in Spanish and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Sara is a Leadership Scholar at the Rutgers Institute for Women’s Leadership. She is currently completing a Social Action Project, which focuses on amending N.J. middle school curricula to include the importance of youth civic participation. She is also a member of the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program and is currently completing her thesis on “Britain in the Reformation Period.” This past summer, Sara was a Rutgers Scarlet Service in D.C. cohort member, where she completed an internship at the Office of Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill. In September, she was awarded the John and Ann Holt Endowed Undergraduate Applied Research Fund in American Politics to complete case study research that will be published on The Eagleton Center on the American Governor’s website.
