Joseph Abragao is a first-year student double majoring in Political Science and Public Policy. Born in Newark, New Jersey and raised in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, he has always called the Garden State his home. His background in politics comes from debating in high school, which culminated in competing with Team New Jersey in the summer of 2024 in Des Moines, Iowa. Joseph is a member of the Rutgers University Student Assembly, the Social Chair for the Organization of Luso-Americans at Rutgers, and an Ambassador for RU Voting. Joseph intends to pursue a career in political analysis, and hopes to live in the DC-metro area after graduation. Outside of classwork, he enjoys writing and playing music.
