Sophia Malinsky is a senior at Rutgers majoring in Political Science and Russian, and minoring in Critical Intelligence Studies. On campus, Sophia is a member of Phi Sigma Iota and an IC CAE Scholar. She served as an advocacy corp member for the Rutgers Office of Federal Relations, and has interned with the U.S. Coast Guard’s intelligence division. Sophia also served as the Chair of the RUSA Judiciary Council and wrote briefs on foreign policy as a director for the Institute of Domestic and International Affairs. She is a member of the 2024 Yale REESNE group studying Russian language in political and diplomatic settings. She works at the Rutgers Makerspace and with Rutgers Formula Racing. This past summer, she interned at The Roosevelt Group, a government relations firm on Capitol Hill. Her academic and career interests lie in foreign policy strategy, languages and linguistics, and national security.
